Finance & Policy Terms of Reference

    1. To define and ensure compliance with the values and objectives of Newquay Town Council
    2. To establish and regularly review policies and plans to achieve those Objectives
    3. To conduct business which appertains to the Finance & Policy aspects of Newquay Town Council
    4. To establish an Annual budget for approval by Full Council
    5. To consider any matter referred by Full Council
    6. To examine and monitor the committee's Risk Assessment and update it as is necessary
    7. To monitor and continually report on all projects undertaken by the committee
    8. The committee shall meet 8 times in a Municipal year, on the second Wednesday before a Full Council meeting (the exceptions being June, August, and May), with Special meetings being called as required
    9. A Chairman and Vice Chairman will be elected at the first committee meeting (normally June), after Mayor Making has taken place
