What We Do...

As a Town Council we offer an expanding range of services to Newquay.
Additional services are provided by Cornwall Council.

The Town Council was established in 1985, and is committed as the local government body closest to the people of Newquay to revitalise the services and community within the town.  We work with other bodies and public agencies to ensure that problems are solved wherever possible and aim to help provide the facilities which the town needs.

The main services provided by Newquay Town Council are as follows:

  • CCTV Cameras around the town
  • Bus Shelters
  • Tourist Information Centre
  • Civic events promoted by the Town Mayor
  • Autumn and Christmas Lights
  • Crime Prevention Initiatives
  • Litter Reduction Schemes
  • Newquay in Bloom
  • Wooden Waves Skateboard Park
  • Planning Matters (acting as consultee on planning applications to the planning authority)
